ONLINE HEBREW SESSIONS FOR KOL AMI HEBREW SCHOOL STUDENTS

In 2013, Temple Kol Ami of Scottsdale pioneered our “eBrew” program, a customized, live, online midweek Hebrew School focusing on Hebrew reading, fluency, and prayer. The Hebrew School sessions are conducted on a student’s own schedule, in the comfort of their own home, or anywhere there is Internet access. eBrew students are assigned a personal tutor who guides them through weekly thirty-minute Hebrew sessions that integrate and support Hebrew learned at Religious School on Sundays. Best of all, parents can participate online with their child and brush up on their Hebrew as well.

eBrew delivers high quality, convenient, meaningful, engaging and fun Hebrew learning at the click of a button. The eBrew program @ Temple Kol Ami brings the joy of Hebrew learning to students using the medium of the Internet, a medium kids love. This model enables students and families with busy schedules to have access to serious Hebrew learning while maintaining other priorities and commitments. eBrew is the perfect option for today’s busy families. It eliminates the need for parents to drive their child back and forth to mid-week Hebrew School, saving gas, time, and the anxiety of rushing to more school after regular school.

Our online classrooms are powered by LearnSpeed. Tutors work with students one-on-one via video and screen sharing technology in our virtual classrooms. Each eBrew student’s program is customized to meet the student’s learning needs and skill level.

The eBrew program @ Temple Kol Ami meets students and families where they are, spiritually and geographically (in their homes, or on vacation) so that Hebrew learning is convenient and not a burden. Jewish learning and education needs to be supportive, welcoming, and nonjudgmental. The eBrew program ensures students feel supported, comfortable, knowledgeable, and confident within their Jewish selves and community.

It is the goal of the eBrew program to help students grow and learn while strengthening their Jewish identity. The eBrew team at Temple Kol Ami believes Jewish learning and education should be engaging, meaningful, challenging, and supportive of the students.

Our eBrew program is currently available to students enrolled in our 4th-6th Grade Religious School* and is included in your Religious School tuition.
