ABOUT ALLISON
Allison Galvin earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and later completed her Master’s degree through Erikson Institute, building a strong foundation that blends strategic thinking with people-centered leadership and organizational expertise.
Throughout her career, Allison has worked with a wide range of respected companies and organizations, including Kraft Foods, several Steel Industry associations, and Rotary International. She has also led large-scale operational environments, including managing one of the largest coworking facilities in Chicago for the Blackstone Equities real estate division, where she oversaw day-to-day operations and supported a high-volume, dynamic professional community.
Allison is a seasoned meeting and event planning professional with extensive experience designing and managing programs for corporate, association, and nonprofit organizations. She brings a strong background in logistics, operations, stakeholder engagement, and on-site execution, with a career rooted in creating seamless and impactful experiences for clients and attendees.
Her work has consistently extended beyond logistics into strategic relationship management, including close collaboration with boards of directors, fundraising initiatives, sponsorship development, and membership growth. She is known for increasing engagement opportunities, strengthening partner relationships, and helping organizations expand their reach and resources.
Outside of her professional life, Allison is very family-oriented and finds her greatest joy in time spent with her husband and her two schnauzer mixes, who proudly take up most of the photo storage on her phone. Her daughter is her greatest accomplishment and a central source of pride and joy in her life.
She enjoys a creative, hands-on lifestyle that includes flower arranging, making jewelry, and crafting, as well as playing canasta, which she loves for both the strategy and the connection it brings with others. A night owl by nature, she often finds her best energy and inspiration in the evening hours.
Travel is one of her greatest passions, and she looks forward to future adventures in Italy, Greece, and Africa. She especially loves Italian food, along with her mother’s matzoh ball soup, which remains one of her most cherished comfort foods.
Her life is rooted in connection, creativity, and the people and moments that matter most. She is truly looking forward to meeting all the members of TKA.
