TKA Teens

Temple Kol Ami offers an array of weekly programming specifically designed for teens in 7th-12th Grade.  We believe that Jewish learning is a life-long process and that “doing Jewish” is a continuous exploration, assessment, and embodiment of Jewish values.  We aim to help teens explore their ever-evolving relationship with Judaism and the values Judaism teaches.  As teens become Bar & Bat Mitzvah (Jewish Adults), we know there is so much more to unpack and explore, including the important value of “Kehila” (Community.)

WEDNESDAY NIGHT TEEN PROGRAM

7th-12th graders can enroll in our Wednesday Night Teen Program at TKA.  Here’s a typical Wednesday night schedule:

  • 6:15pm-6:30pm – Optional nosh and social time
  • 6:30pm-7:45pm – Students are separated by grade level groups to focus on topics that are relevant and interesting.  Occasionally we will do large group activities or participate in communal programming with other reform synagogues.

Jewish wisdom & values, cooking, celebrating holidays, fun social games and getting to know other teens, social action, and more!  Wednesday nights are catered to the group of teens that are enrolled and the year and topics are shaped by the teens and what they are interested in exploring.  RELIGIOUS SCHOOL MADRICHTeens can volunteer as Madrich (Youth Leader) in our K-6 Religious School on Sundays.  Receive community service hours, add experience to your resume and college applications, develop relationships with peers and adults to write recommendation letters for you.
